July 19th and 20th Tuere Sala Lecture and Retreat

Tuere Sala

July 19th and 20th

Evening Lecture and Daylong Retreat

We are pleased to announce that Tuere Sala will return to Port Townsend this July to offer an evening lecture and a day long meditation retreat.

Both events will be at the Friends Meeting House in Port Townsend. The evening lecture will be Friday, 19th at 7 PM; and the Daylong Retreat will begin at 9 AM on Saturday. More information will be posted here and sent to our mailing list.

A Guiding Teacher at Seattle Insight Meditation Society, Tuere has been one of the Sangha’s most influential teachers for several years. Prior to 2020, she made regular visits to the Port Townsend Sangha – to share the Dharma in weekend retreats, to teach the practice mindfulness and to offer guidance in insight meditation (vipassana).

Periodically since 2020, Tuere donated her time to the Sangha in a series of Zoom-based teaching events.

We are happy to announce her return in person, and invite you to attend.

Here is the pre-registration link. Please use this link to reserve your space in the hall.

You may also register by emailing us at ptsangha@gmail.com.

Tuere has practiced vipassana meditation for over 25 years. An active member and volunteer at Seattle Insight since 2001,  she was appointed to be a Local Dharma Leader in 2009.

Tuere is inspired by bringing the Dharma to nontraditional places, and is a strong advocate for practitioners living with high stress, past trauma and difficulties sitting still.

Her teachings reflect an approach to Dharma that is easy to follow and to understand – making it accessible to everyone.

We expect this to be an outstanding event and hope you will register and attend this gathering with us.
