The Port Townsend Sangha held the first of our two weekend retreats on April 5th – 7th. Tuere Sala, a Vipassana teacher from the Seattle Insight Meditation Society, gave a lecture on Friday night, and then led two full-day sessions over the weekend, with 38 people from Port Townsend, Sequim, Bainbridge, and other communities.
The program focused on cultivating the inherent capacities that promote meditation; and the attendees left in a peaceful state, yet full of energy. Thank you, Tuere, for a valuable experience. And thank you to the members of the Sangha who volunteer to make all arrangements and ensure that the program will continue.
Our next retreat will be with Keri Pederson in October, and will be announced on this website and by email to registered members of the Sangha. If you wish to join our mailing list, use the Subscribe link at the top of the page, or drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
